Healthy Diet

Healthy diet comes with a healthy mind!!!

Here are some tips:

Sufficient calories to maintain a person's metabolic and activity needs, but not so excessive as to result in fat storage greater than roughly 30% of body mass. For most people the recommended daily allowance of energy is 2,000 calories, but it depends on age, sex, height, weight, and physical activity. (see Body fat percentage)

Sufficient quantities of fat, including monounsaturated fat, polyunsaturated fat and saturated fat, with a balance of omega-6 and long-chain omega-3 lipids. The recommended daily allowance of fat is 65-80 grams.

Maintenance of a good ratio between carbohydrates and lipids (4:1): four grams of the first for one gram of the second.

Avoidance of excessive saturated fat (20grams recommended limit, although the "evidence" for this claim is forever in debate after the testimony of results provided by the Framingham Heart Study of 1948-1998)

Avoidance of trans fat.

Sufficient essential amino acids ("complete protein") to provide cellular replenishment and transport proteins. All essential amino acids are present in animals. A select few plants (such as soy and hemp) give all the essential acids. A combination of other plants may also provide all essential amino acids (except rice and beans which have limitations).



Essential micronutrients such as vitamins and certain minerals.
Avoiding directly poisonous (e.g. heavy metals) and carcinogenic (e.g. benzene) substances;

Avoiding foods contaminated by human pathogens (e.g. E. coli, tapeworm eggs);
Avoiding chronic high doses of certain foods that are benign or beneficial in small or occasional doses, such as foods that may burden or exhaust normal functions (e.g. refined carbohydrates without adequate dietary fiber); foods that may interfere at high doses with other body processes (e.g. refined table salt); foods or substances with directly toxic properties at high chronic doses (e.g. ethyl alcohol).

The man that inspires me the most. Since he took the stage and gave his inspirational message in the Democratic National Convention in 2004, I cannot forget him and I can still remember him giving a speech in front of thousand hopefuls and millions of television viewers. When his time came in 2007 if I'm right it was late March when he publicly announce that he will run as President in the 2008 National Elections. I thought I was just dreaming because I was also inspired by the only woman who fought for the title closely for the nomination and considering that she is very strong and she also inspired a lot of people. Hilary Clinton fought hard until the end and again, at the end when Barack grabbed the nominations, Hilary stepped down the limelight and gave the spotlight to Barack Obama. What I really loved about them is the compassion and their positive way of thinking . When they feel that they cannot get it as of the moment, they will give it to the person who, they think can bring change to their nation. When the campaign started I followed the every step that Barack made. I am excited everytime I wake up and I can't help of thinking what Barack is doing. When he showed up at Ellen deGeneres Show, I really love his confidence and I really love the way he dance, hehehe. He is thoughtful, powerful and intelligent. Where can you find a person on earth having a big heart, never thought of anything except of CHANGE!!! I know and you know that his campaign/political strategies worked well when he was proclaimed as the 44th President of the United States. Those attacks as well as the undying e-mails from David Ploufe made a difference in our lives and inspired me the most. His choice of Joe Biden as his running mate gave me the 100% confidence in him that he can do it and that his decision making rocks! When John McCain said that he is not capable of helping US and being its Commander-In-Chief won't work since he doesn't have the capacities and abilities to be a leader, he was just a Junior Senator from Illinois, for me, doesn't make sense. You don't have to be senior of everything if you want change. When the next first family took the stage in November 4, 2008 at the Grand Park in Chicago I cannot help my tears falling and seeing the first black President of the United States. I cannot believe that when he made history I'm still alive! I was touched by his speech and I can't help myself searching for its blueprint and thank God I got it:

At a time when women's voices were silenced and their hopes dismissed, she lived to see them stand up and speak out and reach for the ballot. Yes we can.
